Martyr Leader Stood With the Oppressed, Paid the Price, and Lives On Forever

Hojatoleslam Sayyed Intisar Mehdi has stated that the Martyr Leader Imam Khamenei devoted his blessed life to the service of Islam, the consolidation of Islamic unity, and the defense of oppressed nations, stressing that his thought, school, and lofty ideals will continue to inspire the free and truth-seekers of the world after his martyrdom.

Hawzah News Agency- Hojatoleslam Sayyed Intisar Mehdi, a Pakistani cleric speaking on the sidelines of the funeral procession and prayer over the body of the Martyr Leader, told Hawzah:

"The Martyr Leader devoted his blessed life to serving Islam, strengthening the unity of the Islamic Ummah, and defending oppressed nations. His thought, his school, and his lofty ideals will, after his martyrdom, remain a source of inspiration for the free people and truth-seekers of the world."

He stated: "The tragedy of the Martyr Leader's martyrdom is not the grief of the Iranian nation alone, but a shared sorrow for all Muslims across the world. This is because the Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution was not a leader confined within the borders of a single country; rather, he was an influential figure throughout the entire Islamic world who dedicated all his energy and life to the service of Islam, the dignity of Muslims, and the defense of religious values."

The Pakistani preacher identified one of the most outstanding characteristics of the Martyr Leader as his tireless efforts to achieve Islamic unity, saying: "He consistently called upon Muslims to embrace solidarity, mutual understanding, and the avoidance of discord. In this context, he declared insulting the Mothers of the Believers and the Rightly Guided Caliphs as forbidden in order to prevent division and enmity among Muslims. This stance clearly demonstrates that his thought and conduct were firmly based on preserving the unity of the Ummah and safeguarding the integrity of Islam."

Pointing to the Martyr Leader's spirit of anti-arrogance, he said: "In practice, he was a follower of the school of Ashura and the path of Imam Hussein (PBUH). Just as the Master of Martyrs (PBUH) stood against oppression and falsehood with the slogan 'One like me will never pledge allegiance to one like him,' the Supreme Leader never surrendered to the arrogant powers and declared with firmness that compromise with oppression and hegemony is incompatible with the ideals of Islam and the people of truth."

Hojatoleslam Sayyed Intisar Mehdi continued: "The main reason behind the enmity of the arrogant powers toward the Supreme Leader was his explicit and unwavering support for the oppressed Palestinian nation, the Islamic Ummah, and all the downtrodden of the world. He always stood by the oppressed and adopted a resolute stance against the oppressors. Had he been willing to abandon the Palestinian cause and other oppressed nations and compromise with the hegemonic powers, he might never have been targeted by such a crime. But he never sacrificed honor, independence, and Islamic principles for transient interests."

Emphasizing the historic stature of the Martyr Leader, he said: "Personalities of this magnitude appear only once in centuries. While his martyrdom is a great loss for Islamic history, his thought, his school, and his ideals will live on, and future generations will draw inspiration from them."

The Pakistani preacher concluded by stating: "The Pakistani nation also shares in the grief of the Iranian nation. Across Pakistan, people from all walks of life are holding ceremonies and sending messages of condolence, paying tribute to the services and struggles of the Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution. Many who previously saw him merely as a Shia leader, today, having gained a deeper understanding of his character, his steadfastness, and his global role, acknowledge the greatness of his intellectual and political stature. Undoubtedly, the pure blood of this great martyr will further consolidate the unity of the Islamic Ummah and, by divine grace, will pave the way for the victory of truth over falsehood."
